1. Login to THE MAILROOM and create an Account

  2. Choose a Plan

  3. You will be prompted to fill out the Application for Delivery of Mail Through Agent, PS form 1583.

  4. To receive mail, a PS form 1583 is required along with two forms of acceptable ID’s listed in #5.

  5. The two forms of ID’s needed: (One ID from Group A (Photo ID type) and One ID from Group B (Address ID type):

    Choose one from each group.

    1. Group A (Photo Type): U.S. State/Territory/Tribal Driver’s or Nondriver’s ID Card*, Uniformed Service ID, U.S. Access Card, U.S. University ID Card, Passport, Matricula Consular, NEXUS Card, Certificate of Naturalization, or U.S, Permanent Resident Card.

    2. Group B (Address Type): U.S. State/Territory/Tribal Driver’s or Nondriver’s ID Card*, Current Lease, Mortgage or Deed of Trust, Home Vehicle Insurance Policy, Vehicle Registration Card, or Voter card.

      * Although Driver’s license is listed in both groups as an option for both the Applicant’s photo ID and address ID, it may be used for only one of the IDs (either photo ID or address ID), not for both.

  6. Pay for the Selected Plan

  7. Then we will email you a filled-out PS form 1583 for notarization.

    EITHER

  8. Print out the PS form 1583 and get the form notarized at THE MAILROOM for $4.00. If notarizing the form at THE MAILROOM, we can print the form for you at no charge. If your PS form 1583 is notarized at THE MAILROOM, you can bring the two required forms of IDs listed in #5 to process your paperwork. Once we have your two forms of acceptable ID’s, your account will be approved the same day if you have all required documents. You will be given a virtual mailbox number. Your account will become active to begin receiving mail at THE MAILROOM.

    OR

  9. Print out the PS form 1583. Go to a local notary near you to get your form notarized. Once your PS form 1583 is notarized, upload your PS form 1583 and two required acceptable documents and email them to THE MAILROOM. Once we receive all documents, your account will be approved. You will be given a virtual mailbox number. Your account will become active to begin receiving mail at THE MAILROOM.

    OR

  10. Contact a Remote Online Notary to get your PS form 1583 notarized virtually. Once your form is notarized, submit your PS form 1583 and the two required forms of ID’s listed in #5 to THE MAILROOM. Once we receive all documents, your account will be approved. You will be given a virtual mailbox number. Your account will become active to begin receiving mail at THE MAILROOM.

  11. Once your account is active, you will receive a picture of the outside of your mail. All other options are available based on your service plan.
